Pickleball Arrives in Bangladesh: A New Beginning in Chittagong
Pickleball has now arrived in Bangladesh, and people in Chittagong finally have a place to enjoy this modern and exciting sport. The court is set up on the rooftop of Haque Tower, Jubilee Road, giving players a fresh environment with open air and a calm view of the city. It’s a simple idea, but it brings something new and enjoyable for everyone.
Pickleball is a sport that almost anyone can learn. It does not require a lot of strength or special skills. The rules are clear, the movements are easy to understand, and the game moves fast enough to keep things fun. That is why pickleball is growing in many countries. Kids like it because it feels playful, and adults enjoy it because it’s active without being too hard on the body. It’s the kind of sport where beginners can start enjoying the game from their very first day.
In a busy city like Chittagong, having a new sport like this is helpful. People often look for simple ways to stay active, relax, or spend time with friends and family. Pickleball gives all of that in a small space. The rooftop setup makes it even better—safe, clean, and away from the noise of the streets. It’s a place where people can focus, learn, and enjoy themselves.
We want to build a friendly and welcoming pickleball community here. Our goal is to encourage more people to join, whether they have played sports before or not. Families, students, office workers, and even older people can pick it up easily. The idea is to grow slowly and naturally: teach the game, bring people together, and let the sport become part of everyday life in Chittagong.
This is not just about playing a new game. It’s about giving people a space to move, smile, compete, and feel good. We hope that as more people learn about pickleball, the interest will spread across the city and even other parts of the country. With time, we can introduce training sessions, friendly matches, and maybe even proper tournaments.
For now, we are focused on building the foundation with care and honesty. The sport is simple, but the joy it brings is real. And we’re excited to see how far pickleball can go in Bangladesh.
